TitanUp Fitness is the premier group training facility in the Jacksonville area serving members in Jacksonville Beach, Town Center and Nocatee.
This posting is for the Nocatee location only.
Tuesday and Thursday afternoon/evening availability preferred.
Our mission is to provide a sustainable program to help members reach any fitness goal they have, whether it be to lose weight, pack on muscle, or simply become stronger people.
When our job is done right, members have the tools and knowledge where they don't need us any more, but stay because of the supportive environment you only get with group training.
What you'll be doing:
Instructing the daily fitness routine during periods of 1-hour classes including demonstrating each movement and its proper form and effectively communicating how each workout applies the principles of progressive overload to the overall program.
Continuously coaching members on form and proper pace for rest while maintaining high-energy and facilitating group camaraderie.
Keeping the gym and facilities tidy and stocked and ensuring each class is set up for success.
Monitoring class attendance and occasionally assisting with member account set-up.
Closing shifts will set up the gym for the following day's routine and perform cleaning / stocking duties.
What we need to see:
Certified in strength training or group fitness instruction (personal training certification is a plus).
If you are not currently certified, this can be obtained before starting if all other qualifications are met.
Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
Instructors will need proficient knowledge in strength training to properly coach each workout and provide adequate modifications for members when necessary.
Strong public communication skills with the ability to lead a class of members through a defined workout.
An organized, dependable, self-starter who can manage all aspects of a gym autonomously during a shift.
Morning and evening availability Monday through Friday with reliable transportation.
Occasional Saturday morning availability.
Pluses and additional information:
Hours and location are flexible.
We have classes Monday through Friday at Jacksonville Beach, Jacksonville (Gate Parkway) and Nocatee locations.
Instructors receive a free membership to all TitanUp Fitness locations with the potential for a membership for a spouse / significant other.
Potential access to facilities for personal use outside of scheduled class times.
Pay starts at $17 / hour with the ability to earn additional commissions through signing up new members and selling merchandise / supplements.
Hourly pay is weekly (every Friday) while commission pay is monthly.
Instructors have the opportunity to utilize TitanUp Fitness facilities for personal training clients if qualifications are met.
