Summary:
As a Front Desk Associate, you will act as the first point of contact for our patients and set the tone for the visit through excellent patient care.
You will be required to perform the necessary administrative responsibilities needed to create a smooth check in/out experience for patients.
Due to the nature of the business, this position will be required to travel to other locations, based on clinic needs.
Duties:
Schedule appointments, coordinating ancillary testing when necessary and ensuring pre certs and prior authorizations are received.
Make appointments, cancel, reschedule and handle no-show appointments Greeting patients, verifying all demographic information, verify insurance Collect copayments, deductibles and coinsurance and provide receipts Data entry & record keeping Communicate with patients, physicians and staff Maintain inventory of medical products and office supplies Maintain a neat, clean waiting room Oversees record keeping for and destruction Assists satellite offices, some travel may be required Comply with HIPPA confidentiality standards Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multi-task and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Florida Eye Specialists is a Drug-Free Workplace.

Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Healthcare receptionist experience preferred Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer Repetitive hand movements (specifically keyboarding and writing) Travel to other offices as needed Job Type:
